The Cavaliere is back

21 June 2019

The potentially oldest incoming MEP arrived in Brussels yesterday. Silvio Berlusconi, the 82 year-old former prime minister of Italy was running of course for Forza Italia, the party he founded in 1994. Brussels is so ready to welcome him that the European Council has taken a back seat today on social networks.

Before the elections, the Facebook community created the group “Elect Silvio just to have him in Place Lux every Thursday”. Now paparazzi are spotting him in front of the Parliament proudly showing his badge and in a bar in Place Luxembourg. Brace yourselves, "il Cavaliere" is back, ready to mingle.
